This special series of “Movement” photographs began while walking a mountain field in 2013 looking for a great landscape shot, camera in hand, finger on the release button when I stumbled over an unseen log. On my way down to the ground I apparently pressed the release button. After seeing the result of the “photo fall” it struck me that the flash and blur of the grass and trees with their mixtures of color and texture had the feel of graphic art or of an abstract painting. That shot did not survive the day but its image stayed with me and soon after I started this series of unique photographs, their vibrancy, strength and visual dimension vividly felt. rps
These photographs represent direct camera shots without manipulation from an editing program to create an effect.
